New Chips Please!

Alright, with the 2009 League just about to kick off, I'm adding a few rules and would like comments on some additions to how we run our league.

New Rules -

Starting this year, in order to be elgible for the TOC, you must finish in the top 10 of the Points leaderboard and have attended at least 5 sanctioned tournaments.

The Chip Stacks at the TOC will be based on percentage of the points lead.

Start Times - Each tournament will begin exactly 30 minutes after the scheduled time (usually 6pm). Money will be collected and seats will be drawn for 15 minutes prior to the start.

Possible addition:

$5 Bounties - This would work one of two ways.
1 - Each player would have the option of purchasing a 5 dollar bounty chip. If you are eliminated by someone who purchased a bounty chip, you give them your chip. And they can cash that chip in for 5 dollars.
2. - We make this required for everyone, raising the buy in from 10 to 15 bucks. This would give more people the chance to win a little cash, even if they don't finish in the top 3.

Please reply in email to me with your vote on whether this should be optional, or required. You can also vote in the poll on the blog.

Got any more ideas? Please let me know.

thanks,
Ron

I think the bounty idea is definitely a good one, and making it mandatory would make the odds better for everyone to possible get some of their buyin back - oh, and I'd like to make a rule that makes it illegal for me to go out first or at all until the money round of the TOC ; )-Phil

In order to add a rule like that, you'd to have a unanimous vote in favor it. I'm thinking it'd be a tough sell.
